I’m not much of a PvP person.  My mind is just never really in the game.  And yet, this is my schedule when I log on during weekends:

  • See when next Wintergrasp battle takes place
  • Pick up Wintergrasp daily quests
  • Fight in Wintergrasp (and hopefully win)
  • If Win, hit up Heroic Dungeon IMMEDIATELY

Suffice to say, I’ve been somewhat addicted to the PvP-only zone.  And you should be too!  Let’s talk about some ways doing Wintergrasp once in awhile is worth your time and effort.

The Lunar Festival has come!  Bring out the fireworks!  Go grab some dumplings!  It’s time to celebrate!

You’re probably going after that title like the world is ending, and I’m here to help you out.  As you may (or may not) know, I wrote up a much longer, more in-depth look at the holiday and some tips to complete it.  But I massively underestimated one thing:

The Elders of the Dungeons achievement is hella hard.

I mean, it’s not that hard, just involved, and you really have to commit some time to it, if only to navigate.  So we’re going to go through all the Dungeon Elders and try to find them.  Let’s go from the lowest level Elder to the highest.  C’mon!

Hey guys!  Today, we’re going after the construct Loken and his army of Iron Vykrul in the Storm Peaks instance of Halls of Lightning.  Are you with me lads!?  Then let’s grab a healer, make sure we’re all level 79 and above and we’re good to go!  Set it on normal difficulty this time, if you please.  I’ll mark, but you tank.  Alright! Everyone into the instance!

In two weeks, The Lunar Festival will be here, a holiday hosted by the Druids of Azeroth to celebrate the new year (or the Earth Chinese New Year).  It’s a fun holiday with a lot of cool trinkets and activities, but that’s not why I’m talking about it.  YES, IT’S ACHIEVEMENT TIME!

The holiday lasts a hell of a long time – from January 24th to February 12th.  There are quite a few achievements you’re going to have to take care of to accomplish this holiday’s meta-achievement “To Honor One’s Elders.”  Finishing this off awards you the title “Elder [insert name here]” and one step closer to getting that sweet Proto-drake flying mount.  Well what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!

As per usual, I’ll be listing off the easier achievements to accomplish, followed by the more difficult ones to finish off.

Over the Christmas break, I installed an addon called “AchievementSnap,” an addon that would take a screenshot every time I received an achievement!  I figured this would be a great way to catalog my adventures through Azeroth and I was right.  Of course, I forgot to add it right before I got my “Merrymaker” achievement, but that’s a-okay.

I looked at these screenshots and wanted to share them with you guys, but that gave me a great idea – why not share these achievements and the best way to complete them!?  Brilliant!  So let’s get into it.

Oh, and clicking on each picture takes you to a full-screen shot of everything that was going on when it happened, in case you’re interested.

The only way to get this is to find any barber shop and get a haircut!

Two bits!

Barber shops can be found in Stormwind, Ironforge, Ogrimmar, Undercity, Netherstorm (Area 52 and Cosmowrench) and Dalaran.  Get any haircut, facial detail change or hair color change and voila! Achievement achieved.

Check out the rest of my recent achievements (and tips to get them) under the cut…

Well, some of you have probably decided to level up that Death Knight, or if you’re like me, you’ve decided to make it your main.  Questing as a DK is rather easy, since almost every quest (including some of the “Bring Three Friends!” quests) is soloable.  But eventually, you’re going to hit an instance.  Do you know what to do as a DK DPS?  Probably.  But here are some helpful hints and Boss tips that I’ve found rather helpful.  This is for NORMAL RUNS, since that’s the only version I’ve done before.
